Help translate gpvdm into your language ( 日本語, Português, 한국어, Español) !
The more people who understand the device physics of solar cells, the better our chance of developing light harvesting devices to supply our energy needs. This is the reason I make gpvdm available. A key part of fulfilling this aim is translating gpvdm into languages other than English, because many good scientists do not speak English, but would benefit from access to high quality solar cell simulation software. Please help the development of better solar cells, by joining the gpvdm translation project and translating gpvdm into your language!

How do I go about translating gpvdm?
Firstly, watch this video where I talk about how to go about translating gpvdm. You do not need to be able to program to be able to do it.
Download the file containing all the English text gpvdm displays to the user. This is stored in the file (gpvdm.pot) which you can download from here.
Next, download the a dictionary file editor (poedit) from here here, install it and run it.
Click 'Create new translation' in poedit and open the file gpvdm.pot
Translate the text strings and save the strings as a .po file.
Send the the .po file.
If you want to see if you are doing it correctly, I am happy for you to send me .po files with only 50 or so strings translated so I can check you are doing it correctly.
gpvdm is currently available in the following languages:
English (US): Done
简体中文: Liu Di(刘迪) from Hefei University of Technology (合肥工业大学) and Zhao Chenyao(赵辰尧) from Shandong University (山东大学) zh_CN.po
Français: Alexis Prel, University of Strasbourg fr_FR.po

German: Done by non native speaker, could do with improvement. de_DE.po
